Each time I have to take the battery out to reset the camera so it will work again. Most of the time I can't even get that far before it locks up the camera. Them into my PC as I have always done, it locks up after a couple of pictures. On a few occasions of testing the camera actually shows up and has my pictures show but as I start cutting and pasting When you connect a New USB Device to computer, it should automatically install the drivers required for proper functioning of the USB Device. It comes up with this error: DEVICE DESCRIPTOR REQUEST FAILED. Important: Follow the rules at your place of work and do not try to enable USB Drives, if they have disabled for security reasons. I then plugged the camera back into my main PC and checked device manager. Then I checked her USB Mass Storage driver version number to be 3.0 So I plugged the digital camera into it and it worked fine. Then I remembered my wife's laptop has Windows 10 but has not yet updated itself to the creator edition. I have a laptop that had also updated to creators edition so I plug the digital camera into it. So This is how I found the problem is the driver level 3.0 Obviously I had an issue on my main PC where I have always had the camera plugged into since Windows 7. I know it is just this device and just this version of driver by testing on several laptops and PCs in the house.įirst I want to let you know I have never had an issue with this camera on any version of Windows until Creators Edition was installed. I narrowed down the device to my Casio Exilim EX-Z280 digital camera.
